Understand the limits of the Signalgrid API
Signalgrid enforces a small number of limits to keep the platform stable
and reliable for everyone.
These limits protect the infrastructure from
abuse and ensure notifications are delivered consistently.
API Rate Limit
To prevent abuse, Signalgrid enforces a per-user rate limit on API requests.
The current limit is:
This limit applies to API requests, not individual device deliveries.
A single request can notify multiple devices subscribed to a channel. For example, if a channel has 20 devices subscribed, one API request will notify all 20 devices while still counting as only one request against the rate limit.
Subscription Notification Limits
Notification limits also depend on your subscription plan. These limits apply per user account and reset every month.
This limit applies to API requests, not individual device deliveries.
A single request can notify multiple devices subscribed to a channel. For example, if a channel has 20 devices subscribed, one API request will notify all 20 devices while still counting as only one request against the limit.
Need More Firepower?
If your integration starts pushing the limits, that’s usually a good
problem to have.
Tell us what you're building and we can raise the
limits for your account.
Be nice to our API.
